Omada’s Managing Director Dimitris Moutafis Re-elected to the Board of Directors of the Panhellenic Association of Translators

Our company’s Managing Director Dimitris Moutafis was re-elected to the BoD of the Panhellenic Association of Translators during the association’s second fully digital annual General Meeting held on Sunday 20 March 2022. Members voted online to elect a new PEM Board, a new Disciplinary Board and a new Audit Committee for the 2022-2024 period.

The Panhellenic Association of Translators is a non-profit, Greek association aiming to promote linguistic professions in society and the economy, highlight the value of interpreters and translators and safeguard their professional rights.

Dimitris was re-elected for a second year in a row, along with all the other six previously elected members of the Board. The Panhellenic Association of Translators announced the seven new members on 24 March.

In addition to his re-election on PEM’s Board, Dimitris is also coordinator of the Terminology Working Group and PEM’s Observatory on the Translation Industry Standards & Best Practices. Dimitris also serves as a Liaison with the Hellenic Society for Terminology’s General Scientific Board and is a regular member at the Hellenic Network for Terminology, serving as a member of their Media & Outreach Working Group since 2020.

“PEM’s community has been constantly growing during the past 6 years thanks to the determined efforts of our Board and a truly passionate community of Working Group Members,” said Dimitris. “I’m honoured to have a place on the PEM’s BoD alongside so many of esteemed colleagues and I am looking forward to what more we can accomplish together in the following two years.”
